Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026. This policy covers the TapCast app for Android and iOS and this website at tapcast.vadali.com. VaDalí is the brand name for the mobile apps and games. TapCast is developed and maintained by uAlbums LLC (Android application id com.ualbums.tapcast).
TapCast does not ask you to create an account. Screen recordings, voice, photos, and projects stay on your phone unless you choose to share or save them. uAlbums LLC does not upload those files to its own server.
What stays on your device
The app stores, in its private folder on the phone:
- Screen recordings and videos you import
- Voice recordings, and audio taken from a video you pick
- Photos you add for a slideshow or a still
- Music or other audio files you add
- Optional face-camera video, when you turn that on
- Edits: trims, text, stickers, hands, and the rest of the project
- Exported MP4 and MP3 files you create
- A count of export credits, kept in a small file on the device
Deleting a project, or uninstalling TapCast, removes that app data from the device.
Permissions
- Screen capture. Used only while you are recording a demo. Android shows the system capture prompt. iOS uses a broadcast you start yourself.
- Microphone. Used when you record voice or include the mic in a screen recording.
- Camera. Used only if you turn the face camera on. It is off unless you enable it. The face video is not shown live while you record; it appears in the project after you stop.
- Photos and files. Used when you import a video, photo, or audio file, or when you save an export to the gallery.
- Notifications and display over other apps. On Android, these let you stop a recording from the notification or the floating button.
- Internet. Used to load ads. Recording and editing do not need an account or a server run by uAlbums LLC.
Ads
TapCast shows ads through Google AdMob: a banner, and an optional rewarded ad you can watch to earn an export credit. A new install starts with credits on the device. One MP4 export uses one credit. Exporting a voice-only project as an MP3 does not use a credit. A still photo does not use a credit.
Google may process an advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location, and how you interact with an ad, under Google’s privacy policy. You can limit ad tracking in your phone’s settings. See also how AdMob uses data.
Sharing
Share opens your phone’s share sheet. TapCast does not choose the destination and does not receive a copy of where you sent the file. Saving to the gallery writes the video into your photo library on the device.
What we do not collect
- No account, email, phone number, or contact list
- No precise location from us
- No analytics or crash-reporting account from uAlbums LLC tied to you
- No upload of your recordings to us
This website is a static page. It does not set its own account cookies. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may process IP address and request logs to run and protect the site.
Children
TapCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
